Cut n Bass takes you on an enchanting ride between east and west.
Cut n Bass are a rare musical metropolis emerging out of Tel Aviv's underground scene. They combine electronic sampling with an electrifying live performance that represent east and west, the old and the new. The unconventional lineup has a heavy drum beat, an electric upright bass, synth and cutting edge sound effects. Together they combine their roots, which are deeply planted in middle eastern tradition to create a mesmerizing live performance that is truly cross cultured.
Alon Carmelly is a double bass player ( contrabass ) and composer. He was a member and bass player for "The Apples" an indie nuFunk based out of Tel Aviv that toured Europe's clubs and festival for 4 years. Alon recorded two albums with "The Apples" One of them recorded In Peter Gabriel's recoding studio followed by a performance in Womad - world music festival.
Cut n Bass was formed at the dawn of 2011. While engaging in other various projects Alon decided to start experimenting with different musicians deep underground, far away from the everyday reality. The goal is to explore groove based, spontaneous, traditional and electronic music.

Jenny Penkin is a Tel-Aviv based singer who’s soft yet determined voice brings a fresh color to the table.
Influenced by future soul artists on one side and all-kinds of electronic music on the other, she combines smooth vocals, honest lyrics and an edgy sound in her music.
Jenny was born in Moscow and raised in Bat-Yam. After studying in “Rimon” school of music she moved to Boston to study in Berklee collage of music, and during that year in the US she started writing songs and making beats.
Jenny’s first EP “Jennesis” was created with Uri Selinger and Avri G, and was released in the label “OW crew” in 2016.
After returning to Israel she continued her creative quest and took on many new projects, among them singing backing vocals for singer Marina Maximilian.
In 2017, Jenny began working with drummer/producer Aviv Cohen AKA Sol Monk, and along with some great friends and musicians they created her latest EP “Him, on the other hand”, to be released this year on Raw Tapes records.
